Welcome to Urban English, a private American ESL Standard English language training company located in Shijiazhuang, China. We provide high quality English education based on American ESL WIDA standards for our customers.

We currently need about 15-20 American ESL teachers per year. Majority of our classes occur at our two main locations, which are located in Shijiazhuang, a 2nd tier city one hour from Beijing. Shijiazhuang is a modern Chinese mega city with all Western amenities, and its cost of living is 1⁄4 of Beijing. We also partner with several Shijiazhuang schools to provide them with our American ESL English training program. In Autumn 2019 we will also be opening two new locations, which will require an additional 8-10 teachers. We also have two partner schools in Beijing.

The American ESL teacher’s role is to encourage our children and teenagers to use English to communicate inside and outside the classroom, providing them a happy and relaxed American-English environment. A teacher typically teaches 20-25 hours of class and spends 10-15 additional hours in the office (used for meetings, class preparation & occasional large school activities). The first month is primarily training and becoming familiar with our curriculum and the American ESL standards.
