Job Description
Occupational Summary: Foreign teachers is the bridge between SITC and oversea colleges, teachers and students. Also, they play an important role in promoting teaching and curriculum reform, building up campus culture while contributing to teaching and propagating culture exchange. Statutory holidays and winter/summer holidays will be guaranteed.
Reports to: Program Manager
Essential Duties:
ESL Teaching (12-16 hours per week)
Staff Meeting (half an hour per week)
Social Train (Depend on schedule)
Tutoring Students (Depend on schedule)
Lectures (Once a semester)
PS：Total periods are less than 20 hours per week
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, Master’s degree preferred
TESOL,TEFL certificate preferred
Native Speaker ( U.S., UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Ireland)
Age below 50.

Requirements:
Passion for education and cultural exchange, willing to help the college promote pedagogy reform,
Familiar with the teaching and administration system of higher education in China.
Familiar with the learning characteristics of Chinese students.
Willing to take part in campus activities.
Good at Teamwork and cooperation.
2 years of teaching experience at least.

Remuneration:
Salary:
9000 RMB/month (1 academic year contract，10 month salary)

Allowance:
3000 RMB travel allowance per year.
Airfare reimbursement (according to the real price of the air ticket, maximum 10000 RMB) will be paid once the 1 year contract is over.
Insurance:
Thorough medical insurance would be provided.
Accommodation:
Free accommodation with full equipment will be provided(living room, bath room, kitchen, balcony, bedroom).
Further Employment：
3%-10% of month salary raise will be given for further employment for the second year contract (1 academic year contract).


College Introduction
Suzhou Institute of Trade & Commerce (SITC) is a full-time public institute under the administration of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education. It is located in the north of Suzhou International Education Park and covers an area of 62 hectares. SITC has 6 schools offering 47 3-year diploma programs, these includes: School of E-commerce and Logistics, School of Accounting and International Trade, School of Mechatronics and IT, School of Textile and Arts, School of Humanities and Tourism Management, School of International Education (SIE), School of Further Education. There are more than 10,000 students and over 500 staff and faculty members, 70% of the teachers have master degree or Ph. D or industry background.

The school strives to provide technical education and skills training related to modern service industries, manufacturing industries and other new industries to equip the students to contribute to the technological, economic and social development of the region and the nation.
SITC takes an active part in international academic exchange and has established cooperative relationships with over 20 universities and institutions in UK, Canada, America, Australia, Singapore etc. SITC started two Sino-Britain joint programs and two Sino-Canada joint programs in 2006, 6 Sino-foreign Top-up Programs in 2009. In 2012, SITC began to recruit overseas students from Korea.
