Sotheby’s Hong Kong Limited, a reputable international fine art auction house is seeking temporary exhibition assistants for the fall 2019 exhibitions and auctions during 3 October 2019 to 8 October 2019.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• To provide the highest quality services to customers and visitors entering the exhibition

• To assist exhibition set up and closure

• To assist the client services team

• To help our staff at auction and collection

• To help our administration and accounts offices

You may be assigned to work in more than one department during your employment. We will advise you of your assignment during the training session. The assignment will be subject to change according to business needs.

EXHIBITION VENUE
Hall 1 (New Wing), Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Wan Chai.

EXHIBITION SCHEDULE
You will be invited to indicate your available periods on the application form. Priority will be given to candidates who can work from 29 September 2019 to 8 October 2019.

DRESS CODE

Business Attire - Male: Black suit, plain white shirt with plain black tie, black socks and black leather shoes

• Female: Black suit, plain white shirt with black dress or pants, black stockings, flat black shoes

• Jeans, T-shirt, sportswear and sandals are NOT ALLOWED

TRAINING

For those who have not attended a training session in the last 12 months, you will be invited for a compulsory 1-hour training session prior to the auction.

REMUNERATION

HK$50 per hour. You will be eligible for a 20% Bonus for an hourly rate of HK$60, provided that you have followed the house rules explained in the training.

Hourly rates will increase based on the number of consecutive main sales you have previously participated in, details to be explained in the training.

• You are required to sign in and out to be eligible for the day’s pay.

• Lunch will be provided should your duty required longer than 6 hours and start before 10AM.

• Dinner will be provided should your duty required longer than 6 hours and work through 8PM.
