Are you looking to apply your recruiting and management skills to make a remarkable impact on patients’ lives? AbbVie is seeking an experienced Early Career/University Relations Manager (all genders) supporting Early Career Programs who will lead recruiting efforts for hiring postdoc, apprenticeship and internship roles. This position will develop hiring strategies to fill key roles within the AbbVie early career programs for Germany.


Key Accountabilities Include:

  • Lead recruiting efforts and be accountable for hiring for the early career functions (postdoc, apprenticeships and internships) at AbbVie in Germany 
  • Collaborates with Talent Acquisition colleagues, Early Career Program Manager, Human Resource partners, business leaders and HR Centers of Expertise (Compensation, HR Operations, Benefits) to understand skill requirements organizational fit, experience needed, and what can be done to create fair and competitive employment offers for early career hires
  • Takes the lead on communicating updates and sharing metrics and data regarding external hiring trends
  • Based on market knowledge/research, external network and existing internal programs, will provide comprehensive external recruitment strategies to source, attract and hire the best talent for AbbVie, constantly analyzing latest market trends and adapting as necessary to be a leader in attracting early career talent
  • Sets and manages expectations of hiring executives, elevating expectations and making a positive impact on the business
  • Identifies opportunities to build long lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with universities and professors
  • Maintain statistics on new hires – source of hire, time to hire, etc., ensuring quality and integrity of data
  • Actively engages with Employee Value Proposition team to continue a relevant and accurate recruiting brand 

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of full lifecycle recruitment experience in a competitive, fast paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Strong track record of sourcing and recruiting in the Healthcare/Life Sciences market preferred
  • Must have at least 1 year in Early Career/Internship/Apprenticeship hiring in a corporate environment
  • Strong assessment skills to assess candidate’s business capabilities, technical background and key behaviors
  • Strong skills in driving and owning the TA process ensuring candidate and client management satisfaction
  • Professional, accountable, high energy and collaborative team player
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build professional relations across all levels of the business, including strong business acumen with key stakeholders

Preferred:

 

  • Healthcare/Pharmaceutical industry recruitment experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in managing requisitions within Taleo ATS
