Job Description Works with site JHSC members to enhance the Environment, Health and Safety programs meeting the Alberta Safety regulations, and starts establishing the Eaton MESH program Improves organizational effectiveness through the coordination and deployment of the Eaton Business System to ensure the business meets growth, productivity, and quality objectives Works with CI team to support the development and implementation of the sites’ Continuous Improvement Framework, Lean and Six Sigma strategy, continuous improvement actions, and cross-functional activities including Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs) Assist in the development and delivery of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) documents and Continuous Improvement (CI) projects in the workplace Conduct workstation risk assessment, Enhesa score-card evaluation, and MESH implementation. Compile all EHS documents such as task risk-assessment, work instructions, pre-inspection checklist, inventory list, workplace inspection report, and ergonomic risk analysis Carry out CI audits using Eaton Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing tools such as TPM, 5S+, Gemba Walk, Process Check and Lean Six Sigma problem-solving Support all CI initiatives and RIE Lean projects including developing visual controls, checklists, standard work charts, in-process quality inspection list, PPT slides and digitalization setup works. Help analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, and problem-solving Communicate effectively for data-collection and present ideas or obtained results clearly Perform other duties as required Qualifications Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements): Enrolled in a College or University program in Engineering, Science, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing and Automation or Occupational Health and Safety Legally authorized to work in Canada on a permanent basis without company sponsorship. Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 80 km of Edmonton, AB Preferred Qualifications: Previous internship or co-op experience is an asset Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community Effective time management and project management skills Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced/changing environment Strong analytical aptitude and complex problem-solving skills Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to facilitate teams/groups and work with all levels of the organization Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel Ability to deal with/manage conflict and resistance to change preferred Only qualified candidates will be selected for an interview and priority will be given to students returning to a post-secondary program the following term.
