The Eaton Satellite locations (6 in total) are located across Canada and comprise of smaller assemble-to-order facilities and complement our medium to large manufacturing facilities within Canada. Primary Function: Reporting to the Plant Manager this position interprets the Manufacturing Information documents in order to mechanically assemble, fit and install prefabricated parts or modify basic components for the product lines to help meet specific objectives in our production environment. Essential Functions: Assisting with the operation of machinery, constructing, and assembling cells for production. Work to standard operating procedures, bill of materials, manufacturing information, and instruction from Management or Engineering to established procedures. Utilize single line diagrams to support manufacturing and Sales issues. Work or interact with different stakeholders at the site, which include engineering, sales, production, and project management team. Support our Engineering Services Group on special projects and record keeping. Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Engineering Degree / Diploma in progress (Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering). Enrolled and Returning to a post-secondary program. Candidates must be 18 years of age by April 30, 2022. Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship. No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 80km of Dartmouth, NS to be considered. Preferred Qualifications: 0 - 5 years of experience in manufacturing electrical controls and/or power distribution products. Experience using Autodesk AutoCAD/Autodesk Inventor. Strong analytic skills using Microsoft Excel. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and VBA. Working knowledge of Oracle would be an asset. Position Criteria: Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Strong analytical aptitude and complex problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team. Effective time management, prioritization, and project management skills. Only qualified candidates will be selected for an interview and priority will be given to students returning to a post-secondary program the following term.
