Primary Function: Coordinate with FT Eaton Purchasing Department the movement of finished products in and out of the facility. Support the existence of a cost effective (MRO) material and service supply line that supports the Sales and Service of PQ’s products. Essential Functions: Responsibilities related to People coordination; Customer Satisfaction, Maintain Eaton’s customer service policies and procedures. Provide information, alternatives, and solutions to resolve material problems that are resulting in customer dissatisfaction. Use statistical tools to measure on time deliveries and RGA’s. Responsibilities related to Process and/or Development; Material Price Variance Control, Investigate MPV (material price variances) over $500 or high percentage of total and provided accounting with findings. Reconcile open purchase orders with monthly reports. Reconcile In Transit report with purchasing and receiving department Reporting, Weekly inventory reporting for on-hand stock and line fulfilment on orders. Monthly stock fill rate reporting, including on hand and custom-made metrics. Participate to annual inventory and monthly cycle counts. Responsibilities related to Project Management and/or Development; Purchase File System Integrity, Provide availability and lead-time for high turnover SKU’s Select supplier from Approved Supplier List Purchase Orders, Release POs on SAP and UNIX, within assigned limits of authority ($100K) Obtain appropriate signature approval PO’s having value in excess of buyer’s limit of authority. Place standard Pos in Unix and SAP. Material Availability, Support the existence of a cost effective (MRO) material and service supply line that supports the Sales and Service of PQ’s products. Outsource and recommend alternative products if current supplier cannot meet delivery and engineering can advise one; bring forward action plan required to keep customer orders in line with customer expectations. Maintain supplier information if supplier closes or is no longer a distributor for a product line. Liaison between PQ management/engineering on capital equipment negotiations and purchases. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Business or Materials Management or Supply Chain Management Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship Relocation is not provided for this role. The Candidate must be located within 80 km of Toronto, ON Preferred Qualifications 2nd to 3rd Year University / College – Supply Chain Management preferred 6 months of supply chain experience, in roles related to inventory control, buying, or purchasing is considered an asset Intermediate computer skills including MS Office and database management Position Criteria Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills Strong analytical aptitude and complex problem solving skills Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment as part of a team Effective time management, prioritization and project management skills Only qualified candidates will be selected for an interview and priority will be given to students returning to a post-secondary program the following term.
