Position Overview: Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position is responsible to have a thorough knowledge of all standard Panelboard, Control Product and some custom product assemblies and all related materials required to complete the assembly. In this function you will: Work to standard operating procedures, bill of materials, manufacturing information, and instruction from Management or Engineering to established procedures Responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembly by conducting Inspection for conformance to drawings and specifications, functional operation and appearance and making mechanical adjustments as needed - Perform pack and ship duties Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S Assist team in achieving plant and department goals Assist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Enrolled and returning to a College or University program (preferably Electrical Engineering). No relocation provided. Only candidates living within the 80 km range from our Mississauga, ON plant will be considered for the role. Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Effective communication / interpersonal skills. Reading, comprehension, and mathematical skills. Basic computer skills - Knowledge / experience with hand and power tools. Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision. Demonstrates continuous learning through cross training, learning new skills, refreshing prior skill.
