Eaton Industries (Canada) Company located in Burlington, Ontario has an opening for an 8 month Intern/Coop opportunity in our Supply Chain Management Department.
Primary Function:
We are looking for a Supply Chain Management Analyst to support ERP data integrity and various inventory reduction projects. Support and develop documentation and auditing of supply chain processes. Support premium freight compliance reporting and customs process review as well as backfill planners to support inventory supply during vacation.
Responsibilities:
- Support in the development of standard processes, tools and reports to execute on ERP Health initiatives.
- Drive Top External Supplier Improvement Initiative to reduce Lead-time and improve OTD.
- Support Logistics and Purchasing Manager with data validation.
- Support material analysis on data extraction, reporting and validation.
- Review and update GV vs Oracle ERP lead times to improve customer delivery expectations
- Drive internal supplier Lead-Time updates / improvements for intercompany supply
Only qualified candidates will be selected for an interview and priority will be given to students returning to a post-secondary program the following term.
Qualifications
- Business, Engineering or Science Degree in progress or Diploma Program in Supply Chain and Operations Management in progress
- Enrolled and Returning to a post-secondary program
- This position does not offer relocation. The candidate must reside within 80 km of the site.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Supply Chain Management experience an asset
- Strong analytic skills using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong customer service focus with a commitment to confidentiality, a high level of professionalism and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work safely on multiple projects
- Good problem solving, mathematical skills and troubleshooting abilities
