Position Overview:
The objective of the Eaton Internship Program Supply Chain Management is designed to provide interns challenging and rewarding supply chain experiences to develop leadership and functional skills. The program is ideal for current MBA or Masters of Supply Chain Management students who have a proven track record of excellent academic performance and a high level of ethics, values, and creativity.
During the internship, participants are provided with on-the-job professional and leadership responsibilities while working on projects within procurement or materials with measurable business impact.
The 12 to 14 week paid internship will provide participants with:
Exposure to project management, strategic supply sourcing, commodity management, logistics trade management, new product development, materials management, or supplier development.
Assignments aligned with the strategic objectives of Eaton’s Supply Chain function.
Presentations and coaching opportunities led by members of the senior SCM leadership team.
Learning and development of Eaton Leadership Competencies such as business strategy, business acumen, and leveraging resources.
In addition to your valuable on the job learning, interns participate in robust programming including professional development activities, cross-functional projects, senior leader exposure, networking events, and visits to other Eaton sites. These events will help you gain exposure to the many exciting opportunities that lay ahead of you as you build your career at Eaton.
Intern groups may be in one of the following business headquarters:
Beachwood, OH (Greater Cleveland area)
Moon Township, PA (Greater Pittsburgh area)
Southfield, MI (Greater Detroit area)
Additional internship locations may be available in select manufacturing sites to meet individual, developmental interest and business need.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements):
Actively pursuing a Master’s or MBA degree with a focus in supply chain management from an accredited institution
A minimum of one internship in Supply Chain or Operations
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship
Geographically flexible to relocate within the United States for this Internship Program
Preferred Qualifications:
Desire for a career in Supply Chain Management in manufacturing environment
Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills
High potential/high interest to develop as future leader within the supply chain/operations organization
Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community
This role may include travel (up to 25%) within a local region as determined the assignment manager.
Transportation to and from the worksite and for incidental business travel is the responsibility of the intern; however, expenses for required and approved business travel (not including the worksite) will be reimbursed.
