Eaton’s Electrical Americas division is currently seeking a Summer Student or Co-op as a Material Handler to join our team for 4 months. This position is based at our Perth, Ontario facility and is located on 1^st shift.

This position is responsible to receive, inspect, put away, pick, pack and ship material. The Warehouse Material Handler will load and unload trucks, operate the carousel system and related equipment. You must comply with safety rules & practices, including cleaning and organizing the work area.

In this function you will:

• Picking and receiving material; move and pick-up material from other departments, as needed.
• Inspect and verify inbound material for condition, quantity and accuracy.
• Packing and shipping Purolator shipments.
• Complete necessary paperwork.
• Inventory cycle counts.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton’s Philosophy and Values as well as the Safety and Environmental standards.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Enrolled in and returning to a college diploma or university degree program.
• Must reside within 80km of Perth, ON facility.
• Must be legally allowed to work in Canada without company sponsorship.

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

 Position Criteria:

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs using proper lifting techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely, on multiple projects, in a manufacturing environment.
• Must strictly adhere to all Eaton's health and safety policies.
• Good problem solving, mathematical skills and troubleshooting ability.
