Eaton Industries (Canada) Company, located in Perth, ON, has an opening for a Summer Intern as an Electrical Assembler within our Modification Centre.

Primary Function:

The Intern, Electrical Assembler’s role will be to work in light assembly within the Perth Modification Centre (“Mod Shop”), where we take standard off the shelf products and modify/customize them to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical assembly tasks in various work cells.
• Perform material handling duties, such as counting and picking components and staging completed assemblies, as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned in the warehouse.
• Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton’s Philosophy and Values as well as safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Enrolled and returning to a College or University program.
• Must reside within 80km of the Perth, ON facility.
• Must be legally allowed to work in Canada without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing or distribution centre environment.
• Currently pursuing a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree.
• Experience with pneumatic tools, electrical operation and/or electrical testing.

Position Criteria:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
• Experience using hand tools.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Good problem solving, mathematical skills and troubleshooting ability.
