The EMEA eCommerce team is looking for a candidate to help drive a 3 year and
beyond growth strategy in the non-PC businesses it sells online. The principal
role of this individual is to build relationships with the key stakeholders in
the business who are responsible for these non-PC product areas, and to help
improve the online business performance;

\- Software
\- Accessories (first-party and 3rd party)
\- Workstations
\- Visuals (Monitors)
\- Tablets
You will be the focal point of defining, building, and program managing the
business-development plans for each of these areas agreed with the
stakeholders. You will be the focal point for driving continued evolution,
enhancement, and development of those product areas for online – keeping the
business accelerating in the right direction with the right level of support.
You will have a lot of supporting resource – both from the Business Unit (BU)
teams who own each of these areas, but also from the Online Sales Managers
(OSM’s) who you will work with to make sure your products are part of the
sales targets they manage, the segment management team who you will work with
to ensure these products have good profile with our primary segment (students,
gamers and Small Businesses), marketing teams who you will work with to ensure
we have good profile in our Demand Generation spend, as well as IT, publishing
team, telesales teams, etc. Your role will be one of the “orchestrator” across
each of these teams to drive growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• The EMEA Profit Pool Leader is pivotal in coordinating the drive of all
ecommerce activities in Services, Accessories and Peripherals, Workstations,
and Tablets and to attain ecommerce targets in EMEA for these categories.
• You will work with the central campaigns planning function to coordinate a
strong profile for these categories in our overall PC business promotion plan,
as well as coordinate the campaign execution for the EMEA Public website and
for each of the Non PC categories in the relevant markets (mainly Tier 1 –
UKI, FR & DE). Those campaigns will be adapted and cascaded down in Rest or
EMEA countries (Tier 2) by market OSMs with help as available to provide.
Offers / pricing / product line up etc will remain solely the responsibility
of OSM team.
• You will become an expert in the online site experience for each of these
product areas, and work with BU’s / platform / Customer Experience,
development teams (and others) to drive continuous enhancements to the user
experience to optimize key KPI’s like attach-rate, conversion, revenue-per-
unit etc
• You will interlock with:
o Non-PC Business Unit leadership – their teams and support staff to define
and drive action plans to meet business growth goals
o OSM’s to capture market needs and help campaign management teams develop a
state-of-the-art campaigns plan for these products (including segments).
o Align with segment leaders for Gaming, LenovoPRO and Students in EMEA to
evaluate and leverage their plans to drive these product groups
o Production Centre’s (India team) merchandising and development teams to
ensure the go-to-market and the clean execution of campaigns or site
experience improvements with the help of OSMs and segment teams.
o Demand Generation teams to ensure the necessary budget is in place to
guarantee Public website campaigns success, making sure your product areas
have maximum possible profile within all marketing activity.
o the Telesales leader to communicate key Public campaigns and to help them
train and develop innovative activity to help improve attach rate etc via Tele
/ Chat / SMB Account Management teams
o 4P (Portfolio Managers) to understand and flex to supply constraints / new
products / surplus stock, to adapt campaigns accordingly.
o Content teams to leverage any relevant content developed in other
markets/regions – for integration into campaigns or site experience.
o Analytics team to constantly check impact of campaigns to finetune traffic,
conversion and AOV.
o And others …
• In conjunction with OSM’s and BU team members – you will forecast product
sales out at annual and quarterly level and be accountable to report on the
online performance of these product areas.
• Represent the EMEA online team in any discussions / workshops relating the
planning / development of these product areas – and be an advocate and
ambassador for EMEA online in any relevant forums
#### Position Requirements:
• Min. 5 years eCommerce experience
• Strong business planning experience (e.g. forecasting, business plan
preparation etc)
• Strong understanding of Online environment & digital technologies and routes
to market
• Collaborative in nature – the single most critical aspect of the role given
how important managing the stakeholder community is to being successful in
this role
• Strong prioritization, coordination, and time management skills
• Leadership mindset
• Business Development skills and ability to envision and drive future
strategies
• Strong presentation and communication skills, needs to have the appropriate
gravitas to articulate performance and development stories to EMEA and WW
senior leadership team
• Be approachable, and identify motivational drivers of team members to
capitalize on individual strengths
• Strong project management / programme management skills
• Ability to deal with organisational ambiguity / easily adaptable to change
• Analytical skills
