#### Position Description:
The Data Center Group (DCG) Services Training team is looking for an
enterprise level storage expert in technical support education. The ideal
candidate could have experience in product development, sales engineering,
technical support, professional services, enterprise storage training, or
another technical engineering discipline. Ultimately, we want someone with a
passion to teach, share knowledge, develop training, work with engineers all
over the world, and the desire to be a member of our DCG Services Training
team.
As an Education Development Engineer, you will create technical course content
and supporting materials for technical support engineers using a wide variety
of delivery methods. Courses will be on enterprise server and storage hardware
along with associated software. The product families associated within our
enterprise segment are ThinkSystem servers, ThinkAgile appliances under
Software-Defined Infrastructure (SDI), storage, networking, and solutions.
Course delivery includes eLearning, remote and instructor-led. To be
successful in this role, you must be able to manage initiatives while
developing relationships with peers across functions and outside of the
organization.
Our team develops training for authorized service providers as well as
internal engineers. The team primarily consists of course developers with a
background in x86 servers and storage. In addition, we have instructors,
technical writers, learning management system (LMS) development, and video
production. Our focus is on design elements and delivery methods that
transition technical support more towards in-line training. New products
require a course, simulator, and wiki page. The team has access to systems
under development as well as announced hardware and solutions for education
development. We leverage our labs, studios, and classroom or conference rooms
to develop and deliver the training materials we produce.
Job Descriptions
• Developing technical training collateral for global training providers,
professional services consultants, customers, or technical support according
to individuals objectives.
• Operate learning management system administration.
• Delivering training sessions, webinars workshops in a group or individually.
• Determine effectiveness of education material and make adjustments.
• Manage, implement, drive, and track projects in a deadline driven
environment.
• Works with project managers, subject matter experts, product development,
and vendors.
#### Position Requirements:
• Working experience more than 5 years with a Bachelor Degree
• Well Understand of Enterprise Storage (Flash based arrays, DAS, NAS, SAN)
• Well Understand of Networking (Fibre Channel, TCP/IP, iSCSI, FCoE)
• Well Understand of Technical Server Hardware Skills
• Well Understand Operating Systems (RHEL, CentOS, VMware, MS Windows Server)
• Experience in Technical Training Collateral Development
• Experience in Technical Writing
• Experience in Technical Instruction in classroom and lab
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
