Electric Products Manufacturing Engineer

We are looking for an Electric Products Manufacturing Engineer for our Kinematics Group of Garrett-Advancing Motion Company located at Pudong, Shanghai.

The Kinematics Group is an active engineering group within the Garrett-Advancing Motion Turbocharger business.

Turbocharger is a key component of modern internal combustion engine power trains, and plays a critical role in reducing engine emission and improving engine fuel economy. Garrett is the world largest turbocharger OEM for passenger cars and commercial vehicles with worldwide presentation. Its Shanghai R&D center develop products for both local and global business.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring Right First Time electric actuator launches in our facilities in Asia
• Accountable for effective connection between Garrett engineering and actuator suppliers in Asia, including supporting the Supplier Quality function on developing supplier capabilities
• Interface with Supplier Quality, Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering experts

Skills/Qualifications:

• Electronics Engineering background preferred, Mechatronics would be a plus
• Proven experience on electronic products industrialization and/or development
• Knowledgeable experienced in mechatronics / electronics manufacturing processes, including Process DFMEA, line validation, quality and reliability
• Willing to take Cross Functional Leadership within scope, good communicator, resilient, able to reach consensus
• Open minded to address actuator industrialization challenges on a consistent, logical, still flexible manner, and manage delivering a safe product into production
• Passionate and engaged to drive action into a valid solution
• Fluent oral and written communication in English and mandarin is a must. Additional languages are a plus
