Marjane Holding is Moroccan Retailing company, subsidiary of Al Mada group (previously named ONA and SNI). The company was founded in 1990 after the opening of the first hypermarket in Rabat. With over 30 million customers annually, Marjane became the first hypermarket chain to succeed in the kingdom, establishing itself as the leader in Morocco. Marjane Holding owns three store names: Marjane with 37 hypermarkets, Acima with 36 supermarkets, and Electroplanet with 12 home appliance stores.

Marjane Shanghai (摩洛哥美而真控股公司上海代表处), the representative office in Asia, is part of the process of growing. The office counts 20 employees organized in five units: procurement team, marketing and design team, supply chain and quality team, product engineering team, and process and productivity tools. Our aim is to offer a wide range of products in many categories such as: Electric home appliances, Electronic products, furniture, household, outdoor, luggage, home textile, tableware, garment, tools, DIY, shoes etc.

In order to control the quality and the respect of standards and safety of the products, a testing laboratory has been recently implemented. Therefore, Marjane Shanghai is looking for a laboratory Testing Engineer.

2. Testing Engineer Mission & Responsibilities

The Testing Engineer will join the Lab@Marjane, our testing laboratory, in order to evaluate the safety and the compliancy of product samples regarding given standards. His/her job will have a strong impact on both the order confirmation and shipment approval processes. In the short term, the testing engineer will mainly focus on electrical products. However, in the middle and long term, the categories of items he/she will test will be enlarged. The testing engineer will closely work with the Product Engineering department.

Job duties will include but are not limited to:

• Test product samples according to given standards

• Perform a technical checking/analysis of products

• Analyze the quality of products and their finish

• Analyze the added value of products

• Ensure the proper management and operation of the laboratory

• Participate to the improvement of the laboratory

• Rigorously follow processes and testing protocols

• Consistently respect safety instructions

• Ensure the accuracy (trueness and precision) of measurements

• Report to Quality Engineer

• Maintain the laboratory neat and orderly

• Ensure the efficiency of the laboratory

  
  

3. Job requirements

Background:

• Experience with electrical products is a must

• Majored in Science and Technology, Engineering Science, or Electrical Engineering

• Would be a plus

  • Experience working in a Lab environment or using analytical testing equipment

  • Electrical safety certification/training

Skills and abilities:

• Extremely rigorous and paying attention to details

• English: fluent in English (spoken and written)

• Solid knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)

• Able to work independently, good organizational skills

• Good communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with co-workers
