Bringing your expert knowledge as an Electrical Engineer and assist with new product development projects
 
What will you do?
Responsible for overseeing electrical design and ensuring it meets compliance and supporting work for wireless testing as we onboard new devices and move to other technologies.

How will you get here?
Education/Experience
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience

  • Experience with electronic controls including analog and digital circuit design, prototyping, qualifying, and commercialization planning

  • Experience in design and supervision of the construction of first prototypes of new design concepts

  • Experience with electronic analysis methodologies and associated instrumentation

  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting technical procedures and government/agency regulations (UL, CSA, CE, FCC, etc…)

  • Perform electromagnetic compatibility and interference compliance testing on cutting edge wireless devices using antennas and spectrum analysis and time domain measurement equipment

  • Experience with managing data and test results

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite – any of the following: MS Word, MS Excel and Adobe Acrobat

  • Interface and communicate with product development teams to ensure device compliance and client satisfaction

  • Collaborate in an engineering team environment and assist in development and improvement of test methodologies, reporting, coordination of various tasks, etc.

 
Knowledge  Skills, Abilities 

  • Organized, fast learner, team player, detail oriented, comfortable with troubleshooting

  • GPA 3.2 or higher preferred

  • Typical Hours: 40 - 60 hours per week

  • Must be willing to weekends when compliance testing activities are running

  • Experience with electronic controls including analog and digital circuit design, prototyping, qualifying, and commercialization planning

  • Experience in design and supervision of the construction of first prototypes of new design concepts

  • Experience with electronic analysis methodologies and associated instrumentation

  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting technical procedures and government/agency regulations (UL, CSA, CE, FCC, etc…)

  • Experience in cost analysis of electronic controls and designing to meet cost targets

  • Experience in presenting technical information to groups and senior level management

  •  Experience working successfully with multiple departments such as R&D, marketing, manufacturing, service engineering, suppliers, and customers
