Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power & Digital Infrastructure Division is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role is based in either Raleigh, NC or Richmond, VA. This position is hybrid/remote as long as you live within 50 miles of either location. Relocation will be provided if needed (US Only). Position Overview: This role is responsible for the development of 3-phase power conversion and distribution products from initial proposal through production launch for the power conversion market. This role is responsible for engaging in large scale global platform engineering activities across the functions of electrical, mechanical, and embedded software engineering to develop Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Energy Storage products, EV Charging and associated Accessories. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution, with graduation no later than August 2023. Minimum one year of Electrical Engineering experience (internship included). Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution. Electro-mechanical exposure. Knowledge of high-power product design consideration. Knowledge of three-phase power systems, power electronics, and power conversion topologies. Position Criteria: Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively explain technical concepts. Knowledge of evaluating and designing products involving electrical, software, and mechanical cross-disciplinary principles. Understanding of control of power electronics and/or battery management systems. Ability to demonstrate problem solving using logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
