Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power & Digital Infrastructure Division is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Raleigh, NC and will be part time with the potential to transition to full time in the future. This position is hybrid remote as long as you live within 50 miles of our location in Raleigh. Relocation will be provided if needed (US Only). Position Overview: Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power & Digital Infrastructure Division designs, manufactures, and services Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, batteries, and electronic-based products to ensure power reliability in the most demanding applications. In this function you will: Develop innovative solutions in our Three Phase Energy Storage products utilizing Lithium Battery solutions Responsible for supporting the development of power electronics and other electrical systems and subsystems that expand our market leader technology into emerging storage and critical power applications Position Criteria: Cross functional team development participation Experience developing electrical systems – internship OK Knowledge of evaluating and design product involving electrical, software, and mechanical cross-disciplinary principles. Excellent communications skills. Understanding of control of power electronics and/or battery management systems Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovation leadership, is able to come up with new and unique ideas Ability to demonstrate problem solving using logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions Ability to demonstrate technical learning and learn new skills, knowledge, industry, product, or technical knowledge When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution Minimum one (1) year of Engineering experience (internship included) in electrical engineering Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution Electro-mechanical exposure Knowledge of high-power product design consideration Knowledge of three-phase power systems, power electronics, and power conversion topologies What you’ll get from us: We provide benefits that are industry competitive and focused on employee well-being.
