Gain experience with our global organization and continue developing your skill sets as an Electrical Engineer with Eaton's Power Systems Division. This role will be based in South Milwaukee, WI. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for sustaining engineering support for the control systems and electronics used with medium voltage reclosers, fault interrupters, and switches. This role identifies creative solutions, performs engineering analysis, and creates designs. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the implementation of product cost savings, product improvements, and engineering process improvement projects. In this function you will: Manage the introduction of new products and changes to existing products. Support production and manufacturing engineering with resolution of production and testing issues. Work with Service, Quality Engineers, Application Engineers and customers to analyze, document and resolve product reliability issues. Develop, maintain, and improve product design and product definition data related to control systems and protective relays. Design for Cost/Design for Manufacture Analysis (DFM/DFA) on individual parts and subassemblies. Perform engineering analysis and digital simulation leveraging advanced tools. Coordinate the execution of functional and reliability test plans utilizing both internal and external lab resources. Work with global suppliers and Supplier Quality Engineers to define and conduct supplier assessments, capability analysis, and part approvals. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution Minimum 2 years of engineering experience Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of design experience with PCBA design and electrical controls systems High voltage design experience and power system analysis experience Developing effective project leadership skills Developing skills in Engineering analysis and digital simulation (CAD, FEA, statistical analysis, software applications, electrical analysis tools, etc.). Position Criteria: Problem solving experience using Root Cause Analysis techniques. Product design, DFM/DFA, and manufacturing knowledge.
