Eaton Mission Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer. This position is a hybrid-remote role based out of our Orchard Park, NY facility. Position Overview: Researches, designs, develops and tests electrical/electronic systems, products, components, and applications for space, military and commercial aerospace and related applications. This is an intermediate-level position requiring the full use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to analyze or generate data. In this function you will: Conceptualize, design, test and document electrical/electronic hardware systems and their requirements. Design of new products, related software, production test equipment Technical support and redesign of existing products. Selection of electrical/electronic and related components Interface with procurement and suppliers to develop custom components. Contribute to requirements management. Participate in technical evaluations. Contribute to technical product proposals. Provide engineering assistance and troubleshooting to production, service and repair personnel. Conduct testing. Writes acceptance test procedures and qualification test plans. Assist with assembly of prototypes. Contributed to integrated product development teams to optimize designs and verify electrical/electronic system performance. Contribute to preparation of Project Initiation Forms, Work Breakdown Structures, Engineering Change Requests and Non-Conformance Reports. May have Material Review Board authority. When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which may be subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Orchard Park, NY will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive order bookings and business forecasts PCB design experience preferred Experience working with electrical and electronic schematics Working knowledge of Aurduino Ability to read military specs Master’s degree or international equivalent in a technical or business-related discipline from an ABET accredited program. Experience leading a Business Management team. Experience in generating and/or presenting SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations plan). Strong interpersonal and communication skills; must be able to function in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary sales and business development environment. Strong knowledge of customer and end-useroperational needs and buying influences. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
