The Opportunity

This Electrical Engineer position works out of our Sylmar, CA location.

Electrical Engineer II provides engineering support to new and existing products, processes, prototypes, fixtures, and tools. Applies engineering and scientific principles to the evaluation and solution of technical problems.

What You’ll Work On

  • Use multidisciplinary engineering knowledge to design and develop products. Investigates and resolves problems involving equipment and systems.

  • Identify and routinely uses the most effective and cost-efficient business practices to execute processes; continually evaluates their effectiveness and appropriateness

  • Perform lay out and constructs a variety of prototype tools and fixtures required for development purposes. Conducts evaluations, tests and analyses related to feasibility and function.

  • Perform troubleshooting and fault isolation activities and remains abreast of and consults on technical advancements. Collaborates with cross -functional teams developing and executing tests, performing root cause analysis and participating in investigations.

  • Exercise technical judgment in planning, organizing, performing, coordinating and/or directing engineering work. Performs engineering studies. Conducts measurements specified in design verification plans, documents, and tabulates results, and provides reports.

  • Document custom tools with specifications, schematics, and mechanical layouts to support document control and tool release.

  • Apply theoretical principles, evaluation, ingenuity, and creative / analytical techniques within engineering and scientific principles. Help establish processes based on product specifications and evaluates process and design alternatives based on "design for manufacturability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical/electronic engineering or related engineering field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work, both overall and any industry-specific experience

  • Computer skills and ability to perform basic word processing/spreadsheet tasks to perform documentation, presentation, and analysis activities.

  • Strong verbal and written communications with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RF circuit design and wireless communication principles (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and comply with applicable FDA regulations and Company operating procedures, processes, policies and tasks.

The base pay for this position is $65,900.00 – $131,900.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
