Responsibilities

• Candidate will support sustaining activities for GoPro portfolio of products like camera, accessories and mounts.
• Participate in cross-functional impact assessment of all proposed changes.
• Participate in the qualification of second source component/module with an opportunity for supply continuity, cost reduction.
• Participate in cross-functional qualification of second contract manufacturer (CM) bring up for current mass produced cameras, accessories or/and mounts.
• Ensure product sustaining and change activities are in complaint to change control process, design control, applicable regulatory and quality system requirements like thermal and safety.
• Participate in troubleshooting, Failure Analysis, Root Cause, and Corrective Actions as required.
• Comprehensive documentation responsibility that may include, but not limited to, generating engineering drawings, Bill of Materials, test reports, and product validation plans.
• Evaluates and approves proposed design changes, specification, and hardware drawing release into GoPro PLM system

Skills We're Stoked About

• Bachelor Science or degree in Electrical, and above or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in electrical hardware development and testing
• Experience in hardware product development and with organization developing consumer products, portable devices.
• Experience in designing digital hardware system for Microprocessor, DSP, DDR SDRAM, NAND FLASH, EEPROM, and High Speed Transceivers.
• Experience in various digital bus architectures and interface such as I2C, USB, I2S, UART, USB, and LVDS signals.
• Must have clear and deep understanding of the digital electronics fundamentals, including microcontrollers/and peripherals. Must have clear and deep understanding of the analog and mixed signal design fundamentals, including transistors, operational amplifiers, power regulators, band-gap references, ADC, DAC, etc. Experience in EMI, ESD testing
• Experience in any of consumer product design such as audio codec, audio amplifier, and battery/power management will be adding advantage.
• Experience in any of consumer wireless design such as Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, and RF antenna circuitry will be adding advantage.
• Familiar with the design process from concept through board development and system integration
• Familiar with consumer EMC compliance and certification such as CE, FCC, etc.
• Proven ability in analyzing root cause, complex design debugging, and problem solving with engineering test equipment.
• Ability to work independently most of the time with minimal guidance and handling multiple tasks
• Ability to work cross‐functionally along with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in ORCAD Capture CIS and Allegro or other EDA tools
• Good knowledge of SMT/assembly and manufacturing processes.
• Working knowledge of design control.

• Experience with Asia ODM partners and manufacturing suppliers
• Team player ability to work in cross‐functional teams
• Ability to travel (domestic and internationally).
• Proficient language skills in English and Mandarin.
