Position Overview: Under close supervision, the Electrical Engineering Technician 1 will use various electronic equipment, electrical hand tools, and engineering drawings and schematics. This position will follow work instructions, test procedures, and troubleshoot non-conforming components, electrical circuits, and assemblies. This position requires limited supervision to conduct the testing process and will collaborate with the Repair Center Supervisor and Team Lead. What your day-to-day will look like: Wiring, cable prepping, and assembling as per the wiring diagrams. Read and understand all related drawings including, but not limited to, assembly drawings, bill of material (BOM), test procedures, and solving from schematics; Assist with necessary or applicable assignments and testing; Evaluate and test the system to compare it to engineering specifications; Complete quality inspection of labels and hardware check and conduct entire point-to-point wire check on the final product; Apply test equipment including, but not limited to: Multimer, oscilloscope, decibel meter, and Siemens supplied Portable Test Unit (PTU); Perform basic board-level soldering; Install and build electrical harnesses and connectors; Clean, Install and Test electrical components; Adhere to all safety guidelines and use all PPE; 5S activities and maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area; Must be able to communicate with other technicians and engineers; Have a working knowledge of standard hand and power tools and test equipment; To thrive in this role, you have: Experience working with mathematic calculations; Basic computer skills; essential Functions of Microsoft Office; Ability to work and adapt in a team environment; Good written and oral communication; Ability to work overtime and flexible hours; Associate Degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent work experience; Desire to learn evolving technology; Why you'll love working for Siemens!
