Description
  • Design and engineering of instrumentation equipment and systems for company’s projects including generating; instrument datasheets, loop drawings, cable schedules, single line diagrams, termination drawings.
  • Liaison with drafting group to ensure that all electrical & instrument drawings are accurate
  • Develop safe, practical, cost effective designs in compliance with Company’s objectives
  • Prepare E&I design deliverables as required by the Company/Client/Code standards and specifications
  • Support project procurement activities with developing material requisitions and performing technical evaluation and engaging directly with the vendors to ensure full compliance to the client’s requirements
  • Participating in internal and external kick-off meetings, engineering meetings and other meetings with customers, when deemed necessary by the customer or by the Project Manager or Engineering Manager
  • Perform Inspections, Factory Acceptance Tests, and Pre-Commissioning/commissioning activities of Company’s products and related vendor supplied equipment
  • Support sales activities with preliminary design information
  • Perform such other duties, relevant to the position, as may be necessary.

Qualifications

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Accurate information provided to sales team enabling correct budgets to be set.
  • Ensuring E&I project deliverables are generated on time and to specification.
  • Delivered equipment meets performance and safety requirements.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree or diploma in electrical, instrumentation or similar.
  • Recognized electrical trade qualification (preferable)

JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Approximately 10 years’ experience in a similar role

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as a team member.
  • Ability to multitask and organize priorities

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Advance skills in MS Office and other relevant technical software
    • Hazardous area protection requirements
    • Related Australian and international standards
