Electrical low yield analysis (LYA) engineering technicians are responsible for technical functions in support of engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modifications, and characterization of assembly technologies.
They conduct engineering tests to collect data and assist in research and development work.
Assignments are varied in nature and require a high degree of technical understanding of the assembly and substrate disciplines. Some degree of judgment is required in resolving non-standard problems.
Candidates will work closely with engineers in a collaborative environment. In this position, you will be responsible for working with the yield engineers to characterize new assembly and substrate technologies as well as determining the root cause of electrical defects on both products and test vehicles.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Visual/Mechanical defect analysis.
Fault isolation and failure analysis on test vehicles and products.
Yield analysis.
BKM development, assisting in developing new analysis techniques for cutting edge substrate technologies.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and internship experience. This role is not eligible for sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess an Associate's Degree or higher in Electronics, Mechanics, or a similar technical discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience in Electronics, Mechanics, or a similar technical discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a lab environment.
Experience with analysis techniques such as X-section, delayering, SEM, EDX, X-ray and Optical Inspection, Ion Milling, and FIB.
Experience performing fault isolation and FA on product and TV through the use of hand probe, curve trace, auto probing, TDR, EOTPR, ELITE and Curve Trace.
Knowledge of Mentor Graphics and basic statistical analysis tools such as JMP.
