As a R&D Electrical Engineer / Power module expert located in Beijing, China you will contribute significantly to successful results in projects in System Drives Division in Beijing/China country/NAS region. You will utilize your knowledge and skills in technology and/or product development to identify and implement innovative solutions and you will be reporting to R&D Team Manager.

Your responsibilities

• Analyzing the existing design of MV power module and understanding mechanisms of failures. Identifying areas to improve.
• Driving the new design of MV power module, translating product level requirement into module’s specifications, cooperating with Platform manager and being responsible for reliability in the SD R&D department as well as with PE&Q team.
• Applying the design for X practices to the module design, defining reliability test plan for the new module (FIT calculation, DFMEA design, component lifetime calculation, HALT, ALT, environment testing, design margin testing, etc.)
• Cooperating with suppliers of module’s components to understand the production limitations, applying design for manufacturing practices in cooperation with team members.
• Supporting on the field cases investigation involving power module.
• Spreading the knowhow about module design within the organization and ramping up competence of the colleagues.

Your background

• Must have a master’s or above degree from Electrical Engineering, Power electronics, electronics.
• Minimum 3 years of Agile development environment working experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with LV or MV power modules. PCB(A) knowhow is a plus.
• Must have experience with reliability engineering related work in LV or MV drive products
• Experience on testing and certification related work in LV or MV drive products.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, positive attitude and a team player.
• Project management skills is a plus
• Must be fluent in English.
