Your responsibilities

• Develop innovative designs to meet all requirements for functionality, performance, reliability, serviceability, cost and manufacturability of traction transformer products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional international teams to complete electrical, mechanical, simulation, prototyping, and testing.
• Engage in all phases of new product development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support.
• Support the transfer of technology and knowledge from R&D to engineering department by writing design rules, preparing trainings and collaborating with design tools team.
• Provide punctual technical support to factories, sales people and customers.
• Lead project execution.

Your background

• MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, alternatively Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with 6 years of technical experience in electrical design of electrical equipment such as transformer or railway electrical equipment.
• Strong team leadership and teamwork with cross-functional communications and influential skills.
• Proficient electrical engineering competence, existing experience with medium voltage electrical equipment design or railway equipment would be an asset.
• Solid knowledge in electrical FEM simulation (electrical, magnetic field, eddy current losses etc.)
• Knowledge about sensors, ability to plan and conduct rigorous experiments and tests to verify and validate designs.
• Bases in power electronics would be considered as plus.
• Ability to develop unique concepts/solutions for complex products, completing technical documentation.
• Good project management skills, track record of delivering results on time, on budget and on quality with a structured work approach.
• Customer focused, self-motivated, energized, and results oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, creative thinking with demonstrated analytical skills and demonstrated ability to solve complex technical and process problems.
• Strong electrical engineering competence, existing experience with medium voltage electrical equipment design or railway equipment would be an asset.
• Ability to work independently toward timely completion of a variety of assignments.
• Willingness to travel.
• Fluent in English (both speaking and writing).
