PRIMARY FUNCTION: This role provides leadership for assuring electrical test operator safety across the ES Americas Region. The individual in this role develops and deploys consistent test processes and procedures for use throughout ES Americas facilities for engineered to order (ETO) and configured to order (CTO) manufacturing and ETO/CTO R&D test facilities as well as Build to stock (BTS) manufacturing and BTS R&D test facilities. Given the nature of the role, this individual provides an interface with the EHS functions and the Electrical Test Safety Team. It’s where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potential—and where you can help us reach ours ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Have functional ownership for electrical testing for all ETO/CTO or BTS manufacturing and R&D test facilities across ES Americas Support the development of standardized electrical test procedures for Americas ETO/CTO or BTS products, as well as associated R&D test facilities, leveraging the knowledge from Group CI, Quality and Engineering functions. Incorporate the applicable areas of Eaton’s MESH systems into electrical test processes with the support of the Division & Group EHS leaders Develop, deploy and audit an electrical test operator certification program, tailored to the ETO/CTO or BTS manufacturing and R&D test processes Partner with and supports the efforts of CI and the Electrical Test Safety Team in developing guidelines and recommendations for electrical test equipment Coach SRPs and Electrical Test Safety employees on safe work practices, hazard identification, and drives Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis thinking to reinforce processes and WSRAs Track competency, training needs, and gap closure of SRPs in responsible plants Issue recommendations on capital spending to Operations leaders for PP and tracks project execution with funding for equipment risk reduction on highest RPNs When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution Minimum 10 years of experience in the area of electrical testing Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited educational institution Working knowledge of NFPA 70E First Responder Certification Ability to communicate in Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus Proven track record of accountability in project delivery Experience with Eaton's MESH process and system Position Criteria: Able to influence, lead and get results without direct authority Able to work in a dynamic, cross-cultural, matrixed organization Able to demonstrate proven track record of accountability in project delivery Able to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization Able to demonstrate digital mindset - using technology and digitalization to simplify processes What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
