Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking an Electrical Test Technician to join our second shift team. This position is based at our Santa Ana, CA facility. Pay: $24/hour Benefits (Medical, Dental, & Vision) 401K (Total 6% Match) Vacation (Two Weeks Starting Out) Position Overview: This position will be responsible for testing and/or modifying electrical equipment post-production, prior to shipment to customers. It’s where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potential—and where you can help us reach ours.  In this function you will: Perform system tests, including IR and dielectric testing, and complete written test reports, logs and records Troubleshoot electrical problems in complex systems Troubleshoot AC/DC circuitry and printed circuit assemblies to the component level Assemble, set-up programs and perform functional tests on circuit boards Organize work by receiving work requests; studying wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. Testing systems and electrical components; determining cause of problems and requirements to solve problems Use test equipment including digital meter, current meter, out of phase transformer, variac transformer resistive load bank, hi-pot tester, current clamp, computer, and infrared camera Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations and codes When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger.  Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50 mile radius) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Associates degree in electronics or electrical engineering technology 1-3 years of experience in electrical test or related electronic technologies field, preferably in a manufacturing environment Use of wavebook (digital oscilloscope) and MPLAB IDE programmer Prior training with electrical equipment and testing procedures Read and understand one-line drawings, wire lists, and schematics Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) Understanding of delta-wye 3 phases transformer and resistive load bank technology Position Criteria: Individual may be required to sit, stand and walk regularly Individual must be able to lift up to 50 pounds throughout work shift .
