Electrician Job Description:

• Provides electrical support to the facility by analyzing, repairing and replacing parts as necessary.

• Replaces motors, bearings, brushes, light switches, and other electrical components.

• Analyses motor and other electrical stoppages/interruptions and repairs as necessary.

• Reads and uses electrical measuring equipment and follows electrical schematics/blueprints.

• Assists with instrument repair during tank rebuilds and installations.

• Overhauls combustion blowers.

• Repairs electrical melting equipment consisting of transformation reactors, circuitry, control panels and metering.

• Troubleshoots electrical issues with mechanical Cold End inspection and control systems including glazers, TDMs, cullet conveyors, in line gauging systems (Airline, Rough, End Vision, ID, OD, etc).

Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent and 5+ year’s relevant experience.
