Eaton’s Aerospace Group, Fuel Motion Control Division is currently seeking an Electromechanical Systems Engineering Specialist to join our team. This position is based at our Montreal, QC location. Position Overview: The Electromechanical Systems Engineering Specialist will provide engineering leadership onsite at a customer location in the development, integration, troubleshooting, and testing of complex hardware/software for the new product development of aerospace electro-mechanical actuation products from proposal through initial production. This role will drive value by acting as liaison to the customer through the development of requirements, analysis, test procedures, and coordination between Eaton and the customer as it pertains to system and component design development and deployment. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of aerospace engineering in support of flight control system and subsystem definition, development, integration, all verification methods including review of ICDs, modeling/simulation, test and evaluation, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems. In this function you will: Communicate and collaborate directly with internal and external customers, suppliers, project engineers, design engineers, test engineers, COE functional leads, program management, and other product team members to develop systems and products. Develop tools, design methods, analysis, and verification techniques to ensure efficient and accurate system architectures and predictions. Plan and execute the activities for identifying, procuring, installing, and debugging new test methods, equipment, and data acquisition systems with specialized sensors and signal conditioning. Develop and apply the technical and diagnostic skills to verify functionality of test equipment. Create technical project plans and oversees the validation activities for new testing concepts. Provide onsite support to customer for requirement definition, system development, and testing as needed. Oversee development testing and review engineering test data to ensure product requirement compliance. Champion process adherence and improvement across the engineering organization and enforces adherence to processes and standards on assigned programs. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university. Minimum of seven (7) years’ system engineering experience. Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future. No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 80 kilometers of the Montreal, QC location. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering. Experience in product development.
