Position Overview: The Lead Validation Engineering Technician supports Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions Division by providing technical support for engineering teams in the development of new Eaton power system products and accessories. In this function you will: Installation of equipment & instrumentation for use in evaluation of power systems products Performance of product testing to industry standards Use of computer based test equipment for recording and analysis of test data Organization of test data and preparation of test reports Fabrication, modification and repair of electronic assemblies and related hardware Test lab maintenance and organization Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Associates Degree in Electronics from an accredited institution Minimum of one (1) years of experience working in engineering testing or engineering technical role Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution Experience working with single and multiphase low voltage electrical systems Knowledge of electronic circuit theory of operation and troubleshooting Experience using electronic test instrumentation including digital oscilloscopes, power meters, digital multimeters, and data loggers Experience working with Electromechanical prototype fabrication techniques, tools and materials Experience with PCBA rework, modification, and soldering techniques Position Success Criteria: Use problem solving methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions. Performs work with a sense of urgency and high attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office products and features.
