ALTYOR is an OEM / ODM group specialized in the design & manufacturing of multi-technology products (metal, plastics, electronics) in China. The group currently employs around 350 people over 5 companies in Shanghai, CHINA.

Company Context

As a dynamic structure, ALTYOR is always evolving to anticipate the technology market trends. One of its 2014 objectives is to focus on the manufacturing of electronics-integrated finished products in its EMS workshop.

Therefore, the group is currently looking for a motivated & proactive Electronics Sourcing & Procurement Officer in order to guarantee the identification, qualification & supply of the convenient electronic/electric components for 3 structures of the group: TECHNOCHINA (OEM/ODM for multi-technology products), FC Electronics (EMS company of the group), ID-RF (Design, manufacturing & distribution of Smart Home Devices).

Missions & Goals

1. Actively interact, negotiate & deal with authorized electronics components distributors in Asia, particularly in China (ARROW, FUTURE, AVNET, etc.): Price, L/T, MOQ
2. Act as a technical support for our internal R&D and Project Management teams: identify fairly-priced & available components for specific functional needs, source & qualify equivalent references of long L/T and/or expensive components, organize supplier visits to present innovative and up-to-date solutions
3. Anticipate the group’s sourcing needs by identifying & qualifying products & components to be used in the future: touch screens, solar cells, radio/GPRS modules, specific cables & connectors, newly-released microcontrollers
4. Establish, qualify & strengthen relationships with electronics/electric components suppliers: factory audit, regular communication, face-to-face meetings, negotiation of price, MOQ & L/T
5. Solve emergency sourcing & procurement situations through established professional network
6. Develop the group’s network as well as its sourcing & procurement capability by participating to electronics fairs around China: Electronica Shanghai, CEF Shenzhen, Hong Kong Electronics Fair, etc.
7. Perform technology watch & provide insights & reports to top management

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
2. 3 to 5 years sourcing & procurement experience in an Internationally-renowned Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) company
3. Extensive network of electronics components authorized distributors & suppliers
4. Passionate about new technologies & electronics
5. Fluency in English & Chinese
6. Extremely motivated, proactive & comfortable in an R&D, Project Management, Industrial & Technical environment
7. Strong interpersonal skills & communication skills
8. Solid problem solving & analytical skills
