Eaton’s ITD-Aerospace division is currently seeking an Electroplating Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Tijuana facility. The Electroplating Manager is responsible to implement, develop and improvement plating processes to support customers and standards requirements. He will be in charge to oversee the environment requirements and permitting process to operate. In this position, he will be also responsible to develop an operational team to run and supervise those plating lines. Some activities related with the position will be: Develop processes and instructions for each plating requirement. Structure and control Standard Work documentation and process specifications. Develop and control the BOM and routing in the ERP. Maintain the processes under control by checking chemistry in a regular basis. Develop procedures and policies to comply with Customers and Regulatory regulations, including but not limited to Navair/DLA, Nadcap, AS9100 and environmental regulation requirements. Supervise monitoring of the lines to maintain control of this special process. Supervise the waste water treatment operations. Manage all raw materials storage, life time and replenishment. Hire and develop Operators/Technicians to operate the plating lines and waste water treatment operations in according to the customers’ demand. Supervision of start-up and shut-down of all equipment in the department, including maintenance operations of the plating lines and waste water treatment. Responsible for all aspects of the plating chemical “quality control” operations Develop lean initiatives to reduce cost on the process, the chemistry and the flow management. Provide technical support to maintenance techs and other manufacturing organizations. Support and/or lead department activities related to process improvements and standard work. Maintain an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement to achieve departmental goals. Other activities assigned by supervisor or special requirements from management or company. Maintain safe, clean working environment in compliance with all Eaton safety standards, Life Saving Rules, and daily 5S+ requirements to help build a Zero Incident Culture. #LI-AP01 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Engineering 5+ years of experience of related equipment Leadership Management Communication Problem Solving Interpersonal skills Team work Preferred Qualifications: Experience with on the following: electroplating stations, chemical mix stations, chemical pumps and waste water treatment. Previous experience interacting with chemical suppliers. Ability to multitask projects and handle responsibilities that will affect the productivity and utilization of the equipment tool set with emphasis on material costs, quality and service from tool vendors. Capable to work under pressure and high visibility. Proficient in MS Windows Software (Word/Excel/Power Point), CAD or similar. We make what matters work.
