We are now looking for a certified librarian who also has training and experience in teaching. The main leadership roles include being a teacher, an instructional partner, an information specialist, and a program administrator. The position is offered by a newly established public elementary school located in Chengdu and will start in Aug 2019.

Job Description:
1. Collaborate with subject teachers to create independent learners by fostering students' research, reading and information literacy, technology, communication, and critical thinking skills;
2. Teach student groups by implementing differentiated instruction where necessary;
3. Develop a resource base for the school based on school’s vision and teaching objectives;
4. Responsible for library materials (books, newspapers, magazines, etc.) and essential technology equipment and devices that are for library use;
5. Establish and promote library policies;
6. Plan the physical and virtual library space; and maintain a welcoming, positive, and innovative learning atmosphere.

Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree or above in relevant area;
2. School Librarian certification;
3. A minimum of two years working experience in relevant subject area (elementary level preferred);
4. Experience in teaching ESL/EAL students in China or abroad is a plus;
5. Experience in curriculum development is a plus;
