Role Summary: We are looking for a professional and experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team! As an Embedded Software Engineer at GE Lighting, you will be responsible for executing embedded software development projects target for connected smart home product applications
Essential Responsibilities: ·• Follow all steps in a software development process including analysis, design, implementation, and test. This includes creating software as well as requirements, design, testing, and process-related documentation.

• Take ownership to design, develop and validate firmware for connected smart home product applications following GE Lighting software development processes
• Participate the system verification and validation, including the mobile app, LED driver, RF module, etc.
• Assist senior Engineer in researching new products and collaborate with cloud/app team to fix bugs
• Generate written reports and documentation as needed. Maintain accurate documentation of concepts, designs, drawings, and processes
• Interface with hardware design and development

Qualifications/Requirements: · • Bachelor degree and above in electronics/communication/automation/Computer science/etc.

• Solid Experience with Embedded systems and programming
• Proficiency on the C and C++ program skills, Strong debugging skills
• Previous knowledge or experience of different IP/wireless communication protocols such as Zigbee, BLE or WiFi etc is considered as a plus
• Previous experience of using Github or other software development tools is a plus
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, must be able to communicate effectively both in written and oral English in a global team.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently on extended assignments.
