wireless connectivity solutions for OEM devices in automotive, telematics, fleet management, smart metering, asset

tracking, handheld devices, infotainment, and industrial process control and security systems. Demand for wireless

Regional Design Centre houses the Engineering Design for all TT IoT Solutions businesses.

Background

Our global development team is currently in a strong growth phase. We are therefore on the lookout for sharp

competencies that wants to join us on this journey. TT IoT group is evolving as a technology leader in connectivity and

our customers are mainly represented in EU and US and in the following Internet of Things sectors: Automotive,

Smart homes, Medical/wearable and industrial/infrastructure. You will be a part of a larger team including hardware,

firmware, mechanical and antenna designers.

The Candidate

We are looking for a software engineer with at least 4 years of experience to the team in Shenzhen. As a SW Engineer

at TT Electronics Shenzhen, you will play an important role in the work to develop and integrate technologies to

market requests. You will operate in small, medium or large customer projects with a global footprint. You will design

and develop the firmware and software for embedded systems, to support our hardware designs. You will be involved

in the design, build and maintain test automation of our software platform, using tools such as Jenkins and Gitlab.

Some knowledge about cloud services (MQTT, HTTP) is a plus.

The ideal candidate will have strong software design knowledge of consumer, industrial or electronic products, and

have good knowledge of supporting products fundamentals. They have likely worked for a global design and

manufacturing company in the wireless and/or connectivity field. Together with customers, we develop products of

the future and push boundaries of what’s possible. This role will report to Engineering & Business Development

Manager APAC. There will be opportunity for this role to Travel to European design centres for training and

introductions.

The role and key responsibilities

• Embedded Software design and development, including implementation, test, integration/release and bug

fixing.

• API design towards customer application
• Development of software for Test automation to ensure best functionality and quality (end-to-end tests)
• Communicate with customers and define product requirements and specifications.
• Develop and design production and test equipment with semi or automatic processes.
• Design, review and approve SW through coordination with customers and suppliers.
• Create technical reports, such as test plan, quality assurance documentation and communication protocol

documentation.

• Provide local technical interface between globally based development teams and manufacturing teams

The person

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering or similar
• At least 4 years of experience in embedded systems and C-programming
• Experience in programming of microcontrollers (MCUs) and wireless modems
• Proficient in OS: uCLinux, Yocto or Zephyr
• Proficient in Languages: C, C++ and Python
• RTOS knowledges
• Git and/or SVN coding version control
• HAL drivers development
• Hardware hands on and familiar laboratory equipment (oscilloscope, power supply etc).
• Experience in test and functional product testing.
• Experienced in software development for embedded systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically will help with the work.
• Strong English skills CET 6 (spoken & written).
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic approach.
• Good communication/teamwork skills.
• Ambitious, passionate and willing to take initiatives to develop yourself and the company.
