Job Description
Our eMobility segment is currently seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our dynamic, entrepreneurial team, located in Tczew, Poland. Responsibilities: Develop embedded software for power distribution and protection technologies. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (Requirements, Design, Coding, Testing). Apply the appropriate software standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle. Create supporting engineering documentation including software requirements, technical reports, software validation procedures, and user manuals. Interact with the software team and other disciplines to investigate issues and create solutions. Partner with the software project lead to create software development plans, milestones, effort estimations, and testing requirements. Stay abreast of hybrid/electric, and power distribution and protection technologies. Maintain close coordination with software project lead to deliver products on time, on budget, and to specification and certification requirements. On-site customer support, as needed, to collect data for issue analysis, reflashing, and customer meetings. Support manufacturing/production, as needed, with reflashing, end of line testing, and issue investigation. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical and/or Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in embedded software development with C/C++. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with full life cycle software development including requirements, design, coding, and testing. Experience developing software using an RTOS. Working experience of developing software work products in compliance with AUTOSAR, ASPICE and MISRA standards. Working experience in cross-functional team organization and globally distributed engineering teams. Experience using team collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, MS Teams, etc.). Working knowledge of OEM or Tier1 development process. Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies. Working knowledge of vehicle communication protocols such as CAN/CAN-FD, SPI and test tools (CANoe, CANape, CANalyzer, INCA, VehicleSpy etc.). #LI-PN1 Eaton is an intelligent power management company dedicated to improving the quality of life and protecting the environment for people everywhere.
