This is an Embedded Software Test Engineer role reporting to the R&D Team Manager in the Business Area – Electrification, Smart Power located in Shenzhen, China.

Your responsibilities

• Developing software tests according to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) with primary points of focus on planning, defining requirements, testing, and deployment.
• Taking ownership of software test plans with software developer and system Engineer and drive execution of tests for Embedded Software in devices.
• Performing test strategies to ensure safe and reliable products are launched to high quality standards.
• Implementing the test, including Unit test, regression test etc., so that software runs correctly on electric vehicle charging systems.
• Being part of the project team focusing on Software Defect Management in all phases of development.

Your background

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer Science.
• At least 3 years work experience as an embedded test engineer or software test engineer within an electrotechnical environment with
• testing on hardware.
• Solid programming experience in C , C++.
• Experience with test automation in Python and shell scripts in Linux, experience with Robot framework and Azure DevOps is preferred.
• Knowledge on how to write test plans and cases and make test plans; familiarity with EV charge connect standard is a plus.
• Must have an excellent command of the English language, both written and oral with good documentation skills.
