YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Emergency Response Technician, are to: 

• Provide E Team coverage during all operating hours;
• Inspect and maintain fire extinguishers;
• Inspect and maintain emergency response equipment and tools;
• Work on CMR for fire suppression systems (other work as assigned);
• Perform evaluations of and design rescue plans for Confined Spaces;
• Perform Hot Work evaluations, sitewide;
• Inspect and maintain emergency response equipment and tools;
• Respond to off-hours fire alarms, report;
• Support fire suppression/detection systems Inspections and testing (fire pumps, sprinklers, deluge systems, etc.).

Required Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent (GED);
• At least two years’ experience in emergency response;
• Firefighter one or other recognized certification;
• Medical certification - EMT or higher;
• General knowledge of National Incident Management System (NIMS);
• Familiarity with plant Safety procedures;
• Familiar with Site Emergency Response Plan;
• Effective prioritization of plans and execution of work;
• Ability to understand fire suppression/detection systems;
• Ability to operate all plant firefighting apparatus;
• Familiar with SAP, Word, and Excel.
