The Emissions Laboratory Operations Engineer is responsible for timely performance of all emission tests in accordance with current regulations and BMW product planning. The incumbent will oversee equipment maintenance, calibration, operation correlation, and repairs of emissions lab equipment and instrumentation.

The Emission Lab Operations Engineer is responsible for the overall technical efficiency of the lab. They will install procedures and perform all necessary tests of lab equipment required by the different governmental agencies as well as instruct test cell operators in assisting those procedures and performing emission tests. Define and generate test procedures and checklists for the test cell operators.

Other responsibilities include establishing requirements for future emissions facility upgrades (defined by management and project requirements) including types of instrumentation, equipment and software to attain compliance as well as future standards defined by the regulatory agencies. They will support and conduct correlation tests between labs, internal as well as external.

• Bachelor's Degree in mechanical, electrical or automotive engineering coupled with specialized training in emissions analysis and emission test laboratory operation
• 5-7 years in automotive emission control testing; prior experience in emissions testing/data exchange with governmental agencies preferred
• Verbal and written German language proficiency required
