Job Description
The Siemens Electrification & Automation (EA) Business is UK and Ireland based, with the majority of our people based in Siemens Manchester, Hebburn, Dublin, Home or Field based – our c.200 people are encouraged to work at a location that is best for our customers, our business and themselves. EA remains in our forming phase, having merged from 2 business to 1 to become a “electrification powerhouse” early in 2022 – a new leadership team and operational units are beginning their exciting journey. EA delivers a ‘region-unique’ comprehensive portfolio of electricity distribution, automation, & control products, solutions & services that are supporting the transformation to a region that is less reliant on non-GB&I energy sources. The increase in electrification to support sustainable power and a smarter transmission and distribution grid through the advancement of digital innovation & connectivity. Our 1st Employee Engagement Survey Results are telling us we are doing “ok”, and we have launched our priorities from what was said. Our #Ambition27 strategy as EA is launched – and our Menti poll tells us we have more work to do to make this “BAU”. And that is where an Internal Comms Expert can help take us to the next level of digital and more traditional engagement from the leadership team and across the business …. to make a real impact! What does success in the role look like after 12 months? Phase 1; a full assessment using your own preferred methods from experience of how effective in our internal communications? Where are the pockets that we do well? What needs intensive care?...across all levels and locations and roles. Phase 2; the recommendation – develop for sign off a full Internal Comms Strategy, using a preferred method, for the EA GB&I business, with improvement measures Phase 3; implementing the plan to a stage that becomes the responsibility of the people in the EA business Your experience The 3 phases above have been part of your experience to date and can demonstrate the success of your plans Have worked in a large corporate environment but have innovative forward-thinking ideas that deliver impact Understand what it means to work in a multi-location business that requires many smart, digital and traditional communication methods Siemens recognise that building a diverse workforce is critical to the success of our business.
