Location: The role is based in our UK / Ireland offices or home-based with travel across the U.K and Ireland. In this role, you will work with our customers including electricity/gas/water utility clients, transport infrastructure agencies, industries, regulators, local authorities, mixed-use developers, independent system operators developing business cases, formulating energy transition programs, and co-creating new business models. We are looking for consultants that are familiar with consulting large organizations (similar to those mentioned) above on key energy and sustainability-related topics. Our customers turn to Siemens to help them solve complex challenges the energy transition is creating and identify opportunities and novel business models of the future. Key roles and responsibilities include: Develop energy transition strategies, undertake smart energy system planning and concept design. Undertake feasibility / techno-economic studies of smart infrastructure, EV infrastructure framework, smart grid, and distributed energy projects to identify business cases for customers. Undertake energy assessments/audits and develop energy efficiency programs and net-zero carbon pathways for industries, campuses, ports, hospitals, and mixed-use developments. Develop new business models and revenue streams within the UK / Ireland regulatory framework. To develop and maintain external customer relationships – customer obsession is a must! What skills and experience will you bring to the role? We are looking for someone who is extremely passionate about sustainability, energy efficiency, energy transition, autonomous grids, and the impacts of digitalization in the energy, infrastructure, and industry sectors. Experience in the development of intelligent, adaptive infrastructure for today and the future. Knowhow in the energy system industry and energy market, with a solid understanding of financial concepts. A good understanding of the UK / Ireland utility sector regulatory framework. Knowhow in digitalization, cybersecurity, business model transformation, digital twin, asset management, and IoT. Experience in coaching and developing teams, with a passion for change management and an adaptive mindset!
