The focus of the role will be to manage all aspects of the energy price risk relationship with existing large and multi-site clients with a European footprint. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of European gas & power wholesale markets and experience in energy risk management for corporate customers. The ideal candidate will have a high work ethic with an ambition to succeed, be highly numerate, and have strong commercial awareness. Key responsibilities include: •Active management of a Gas & Power Risk Portfolio with an energy spend of >£200 million, including hedging trades on behalf of client portfolios. Conducting regular calls with clients to update them on current market developments and performance of agreed risk management strategy. Contribute to the development of client risk strategies. Prepare reports outlining market & contract performance based on a set of pre-defined KPIs with clients. Maintain and sustain relationships with energy suppliers. Support in the analysis and negotiation of flexible contracts with suppliers. Use your skills to move the world forward. Experience in the procurement of flexible energy contracts – Essential Broad knowledge of European wholesale energy markets – Essential Strong knowledge of both fundamental and technical analysis - Essential Excellent written & verbal communication skills – Essential Ability to be self-motivated and with a proactive approach to work – Essential A high degree of proficiency in MS Excel (Vlookup, Pivot Tables, Offset, Sumproduct etc.) - Essential An applied knowledge of VBA – Desirable Ability to speak one or two additional European languages (French, Dutch, Polish, etc.) – Desirable Knowledge of wholesale gas & power markets in UK, DE, FR, NL & PL – Desirable We’ve got quite a lot to offer.
