Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Hybrid / Schedules between 2nd and 3rd shift The main responsibilities of the position involve monitoring the health, well-being, and safety of the employees. This may include performing periodic physicals to determine the overall health and physical ability of workers, providing emergency first aid to workers who are injured on the job, or administering tests to employees as per requirements of their positions. Designed and or support programs implemented to benefit of the employee's wellness. Responsible for benefit administration, changes, orientations, and recordkeeping. Support and promote compliance with safety and health standards that conform with the regulations set forth by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Monitor employee sick leave and periodically check-up on ill or injured employees to determine their condition and estimate when they can return to work. Additionally, you could act as a liaison between our company's employees and their doctors and hospitals, if necessary. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manage, control and maintenance of employee’s medical records. Provides orientation related to Employee’s benefits such as: Employee Assistant Program, Pension and Saving Plan, Medical insurance. Enter and keep updated data of employee’s related to medical plan and other benefits into the BMS. Support Safety and Hygiene programs, Case Management, Ergonomics and Blood borne Pathogens Program and Hearing Conservation Programs Manage and monitor Substance Abuse Programs. Coordinate and Lead Wellness Programs / Activities. Disability Case Management (administration of the following: FMLA, CFSE, ADA, SINOT and ACCA). Supervise and coordinate OMSI personnel duties as needed. The medical surveillance completion. Responsible for administrative tasks such as: Payroll completion for hourly employees in a Leave of Absences related to Medical in OTL; purchase Purchases of Medical Supplies, Special Reports as requested, cost control of dispensary. Coordinate and execute Cafeteria Inspections with facilities and safety team. Supports United Way, Employee Engagement, Recognition, Inclusion and Diversity Initiatives. Other related tasks as business need required. (MESH Responsibilities): To attend all the trainings of MESH those are assigned. Promoting and enacting the security and policies of MESH to employees under their supervision and ensure that they are conducted in their area / line manufacturing allocated. #LI-AR7 Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related health area Experience: minimum five (5) years working experience in an Occupational Health Environment and Benefits Administration or related areas. Technical knowledge preferable within a manufacturing facility including but not limited to: CPR Basic knowledge in Benefits Administration (Health Insurance, Retirements Plans, Savings Plan, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability) Experience working with Medical Surveillance Programs Experience evaluating Industrial Hygiene Studies and Reasonable Accommodations efforts Knowledge of Federal and Local Government Regulations (OSHA 300, State Health Department, CDC, etc…) Occupational Hearing Certified (preferred) Knowledge of PC: Microsoft Office, HRMS, Oracle, Benefit Management Competencies: Thinks and Acts Strategically, Gets Results, Builds Organizational Capability, Demonstrate leadership attributes ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This position needs to maintain consistency approach in Puerto Rico Legalmente autorizado para trabajar en los Estados Unidos sin el patrocinio de la compañía. / Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
