Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Engineer – Kitchen shall add value to the Departmental performance by promoting the team of Supervisors and Technicians to higher efficiency, faster response, advanced technology and safe practices to meet the escalating standard of the operation and maintenance of the Kitchen systems within the Galaxy Resort and Casino.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
1. Comprehend the repair and maintenance procedures and their reasoning on Kitchen installations and associated systems.
2. Comprehend the operation and engineering of the kitchen equipment systems.
3. Organize and keep track of the references, manuals and drawings for the ELV systems.
4. Study the practice and work flow of users and servicing technicians and propose the feasible improvement in operation and maintenance.
5. Tackle the problems raised in operation and maintenance and find the possible solution, short term and long term, to resume the system operation in shortest time.
6. Establish the SOP of the Kitchen Team and ensure the SOP is practically governing the daily operation and maintenance.
7. Provide fundamental training to the new users and servicing technicians, and refreshment training to the existing parties in regular basis.
8. Provide training to the users and the servicing technicians for the new enhancements and procedures in the Kitchen systems.
9. Monitor the standard of quality, efficiency and safety of the works done by contractors.
10. Feedback to Manager – Kitchen on overall and individual performance of the team.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Degree holder of Building Services Engineering or E&M Engineering.
2. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Kitchen equipment systems. Experience in a 5 star hotel is preferred.
3. EMSD Electrical Worker Certificate Grade C holder is preferred.
4. With strong team spirit and cooperative attitude.
5. High efficiency and good technical background.
6. Proficiency in English and Cantonese, both written and spoken.
7. PC knowledge including AutoCad, Words, Excel and Power Point.
