What will you do?
· Mechanical Engineer II is mainly involved as a member of the mechanical team in a project assignment, generating conceptual proposal, executing detail design utilizing 3-dimensional modeling and 2-dimensional detail drawings with minimum supervision.
· Depending on project complexity and requirements, the engineer may be assigned as a Mechanical lead within the project, leading a team of engineers to complete the project.
· He/She shall be proficient in 3D CAD modeling preferably CREO or Solidworks.
· Main design activities include creating new SKU (part number), establishing mechanical design and full product bill of material structure.
· In addition, creation of test plan and conduct sub-assembly mechanical testing with supporting documentation for review may be necessary.
· The engineer shall work with project analyst to ensure the cost effectiveness of the design and the design for manufacturability, to control the project development cost and the product’s Cost of Goods (COGs).

How will you get here?
I. Education
· Bachlor’s education in engineering ( Mechanical, Electrical or other disciplines)
II. Experience
· Experience in product design and completed at least 1 design life cycle
·
III. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
· Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
· Proficient in 3D Cad modelling software
IV. Below knowledge is preferable:
· Computational Fluid Design simulation is an added advantage
· Electro-mechanical design experience is an added advantage
· Opto-mechanical design experience is an added advantage
