As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you will help prevent mistakes or defects in manufactured products and avoiding problems when delivering solutions and ensuring that our products and services keeps up a high quality consistently.

  • Perform software requirement analysis
  • Create software test plan and integrating it with project consolidated test plan.
  • Generate test cases based on software,firmware specifications and system requirement document.
  • Setup defect tracking database in JIRA and HPALM.
  • Setup test environment such as software/hardware/test data
  • Test software releases by executing assigned tests
  • Identify, analyze and document defects based on function, output, online screen or content.
  • Document defects into defect tracking database
  • Monitor bug resolution efforts and report defects status to technical lead.
  • Retest resolved defects and update test cases based on discovered defects.
  • Prepare final test report.

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor Degree (Honours) in Engineering,Computer Science,Molecular Biology or related technical degree.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Enjoy the challenge of testing boundary or edge cases that break software.
  • Able to provide usability feedback.
  • Experience with automated testing tools is preferred
  • Hands on experience with both white box and black box testing.

Experience

  • Proven working experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Proven working experience in software quality experience.
  • Strong knowledge of software QC methodologies, tools and processes.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
