This exciting role offers opportunity to: This position is responsible for materials compliance-related product stewardship activities within Wiring devices under ARS division and is understood to be the expert on all materials compliance issues of product stewardship. Under material compliance falls: Restriction of substances used in the electrotechnical products including batteries and packaging. Labelling requirements concerning the exposure to substances contained in electrotechnical products. Declaration of the presence of certain substances contained in electrotechnical products. Lead & support the materials compliance, Eco-design & Sustainability related activities for wiring device business. Incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the compliance status of existing products and takes necessary steps for obtaining compliance information either from design review, supplier solicitation or analytical testing. Responsible for supporting Eco-design related activities and initiatives for new product development projects and collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver Eaton’s 2030 Sustainability goals. The position holder will support customer request for product compliance; tasks and projects related to Extended Producer Responsibility policies for the ARS-WD Divisions Understand and implement materials-related regulatory requirements into actionable product specifications given in the Screening Tools, Methods and Tools provided by the PSCoE Group Champions continuous process improvements to support the Eaton Business System. Qualifications Requirement – Bachelors or Masters' degree in Environmental science or Chemical/Mechanical/ Electronics /Electricals engineering Bachelors with 3-5 years’ experience or Masters with 1-3 years’ of experience in the areas of Sustainability domain, Product or technology development for Electrical/Electronic products or process with a proven track record of executing end to end projects and providing technical solutions Exceptionally strong technical knowledge in the field of compliance / Product Stewardship Knowledge on REACH, RoHS, WEEE and other applicable regulations and it's impact on ES product and technology Working knowledge of compliance platforms like SAP/EHSM, Enovia will be added advantage. Ability to analyses regulations & interpret technical data that can be effectively communicated to product and technology teams Experience collaborating with local / global suppliers for Hardware/Software procurement, building test lab setups etc. Understanding of tools and methodologies for Eco-design aspects of products, process and technology will be added advantages Basic understanding of tools such as C2P or SAP/EHSM Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively explain technical concepts Experience in leading projects with multiple stakeholders in matrix organization and project management experience is required Abreast of upcoming environmental regulations, trends and methodologies Good judgment, time management and decision-making skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively explain technical concepts Yes!
